Why keep a private MacBook battery history?
A screenshot tells you what happened at one moment. A timeline can answer whether the same issue repeats every afternoon, follows one charger, or appeared after a change in workload.
What Anode records
Every few minutes, Anode stores charge percentage, charging state, net battery watts, adapter rating, health, temperature and cycle count when macOS makes them available. It does not record app names, documents, browsing, account data or location.
What the summaries reveal
The dashboard calculates average charge, high-charge exposure while plugged in, peak temperature, average battery draw and charging-session summaries. These are descriptive measurements, not promises about future lifespan. They help you decide what to investigate.
Why local storage matters
Power history can describe a personal work routine. Anode keeps it in the app sandbox on the Mac, includes no analytics SDK and offers a clear-history control. Pro users can export CSV for their own analysis without sending the file to the developer.
