Help with Anode

Anode runs in the macOS menu bar. Click its battery item to open the live panel; use the chart button for history and the gear for settings.

A reading is unavailable

Some fields depend on the Mac model and the values macOS exposes at that moment. Wait for a refresh, connect or disconnect power, then restart Anode. If macOS itself cannot show battery condition or charging state, update macOS and follow Apple’s support guidance.

History is empty

Keep Anode running for several minutes. It records when charge or state changes and at regular intervals. History remains inside the app sandbox. Clearing history is permanent; exported CSV files are not deleted automatically.

Alerts do not arrive

Enable alerts in Anode Settings, then check System Settings → Notifications → Anode. Alerts are delivered once per event and reset after the battery moves away from the threshold.

How to unlock Anode Pro

  1. Install and open the free Anode app from the Mac App Store.
  2. Click Anode’s menu-bar item, then select Anode Pro. You can also open Settings → History → View Anode Pro.
  3. Choose Unlock Pro, review Apple’s local price and confirm only if you want the one-time purchase.

Pro adds longer history, charging-session comparisons, CSV export, colour themes and advanced alerts. There is no subscription or website checkout. See what is included in Free and Pro before deciding.

Restore Anode Pro

Open Settings → History and choose Restore Purchase while signed into the Apple Account that acquired Anode Pro or the paid-upfront 1.0 or 1.1 app. You can also choose Restore Purchase in the Anode Pro window. Existing paid customers should try restoring before buying again. If the App Store is temporarily unavailable, live monitoring continues and entitlement refresh can be tried later.
